In early October 2009 the first book of a Hapsburg Trilogy, That Other Juana, was published in Portuguese by one of Europe’s most prestigious publishers, Editorial Presença (publisher of JK Rowling, Ian Rankin, Paul McCartney, Fay Weldon, Terry Pratchett, Alexander McCall Smith, …) It is marketed worldwide with the title Joana, a Louca (Joan the Mad) with a stunning cover - a contemporary portrait of Juana as a young girl.

 

In February 2010  Editorial Presença bought the second and third books of the trilogy and will publish them in Portuguese during 2010-2011.

 

 

  


 

The Hapsburg Trilogy concentrates on the lives of the descendents of Ferdinand and Isabel - Queen Juana I (Juana la Loca), her son Charles V (Holy Roman Emperor), and her grandson Philip II of Spain – and is the entertaining story of their lives.
